Our trip to the Dolomites was our first hiking trip ever. And it was truly love at first sight for the both of us! With small children, busy family lives and our own businesses back home it felt like pure freedom to walk up through the Dolomites beautiful and dramatic landscape. To be able to concentrate on our own bodies walking up through the terrain made us feel strong and present and the journey truly felt like a gift. The mix of tough physical challenge and the fantastic relaxing yoga classes in different environments was just perfect. We also met some fantastic and kind new friends. Which of course made the trip even better! We simply loved it and can´t wait to do it again!

We found the hiking/yoga excursion last minute online and thought it would be a great trip for our honeymoon. Even though it was last minute, Maria was so accommodating and made it happen for us. Once we were all booked up and ready to go, our son had a little accident the day we were supposed to leave, and we had to arrive one day late. Despite that, Maria and the crew were super accommodating with us again. We usually hike and camp, but this was a little different (we wanted it to be a little more plush for our honeymoon). It was a beautiful combination of the most amazing outdoor scenery imaginable, and at the end of the day coming to a super comfortable and beautiful hotel/spa. All  of that with the most restorative yoga practice in the morning/evening that was just the perfect touch to one of the most relaxing and soothing trips we’ve ever had. It was the perfect choice and we will travel with Maria and Ulrica again for sure

Yoga Nidra Retreat with Renu in Provence was a magical experience from start to finish. It was the perfect balance of internal serenity and exploration of the area. Daily Yoga and Yoga Nidra meditation with Renu was amazing, and was then followed by a different adventure every day – hiking the nearby mountain, walking to the local village market for provisions for a picnic, canoeing in the amazing Gorge de Verdon and of course a little shopping for Provencal goodies. A true highlight of the trip was the Bastide Avellane where we stayed – a beautiful stone farmhouse in the gorgeous Provencal countryside. The accommodations were lovely, the grounds gorgeous, and the food fresh and delicious. And oh! the bread and butter are the best I have ever tasted! We also experienced a great wine and cheese tasting from a local organic winery. Linn and her staff were accommodating and provided convenient transportation for all our needs. We had time to relax in the pool, and enjoyed some of the best massages and healing treatments we had ever had. I can’t wait for the opportunity to repeat this magical retreat.

An Ultimate Adventure Retreat hosted by Maria and Ulrica is indeed both a retreat and a true adventure at the same time. An it is so much more. It is challenge and community. It is a perfect blend of exploring nature and receiving nourishment for the soul. Joining an Ultimate Adventure Retreat feels like having a new big family – it feels like coming home.
