Palma, Mallorca – Hiking and Yoga, September 8-13, 2021

Discover magical Mallorca with us and enjoy a well-deserved break from every-day-life in charming Palma. Our tailor made retreat combines body, mind and spirit. Uniting hiking, nature, yoga and culture on this ever beautiful island.

Mallorca has a sunny personality thanks to its beautiful beaches and turquoise waters, gorgeous countryside to tasty Mediterranean cuisine, sunny climate to fascinating culture. The truth is, with Mallorca there is something for everyone!

We’re offering a unique opportunity to combine nature, hiking and yoga with the possibility to explore the city life and rich culture of Mallorca’s capital, Palma. Recuperation, inner peace and health doesn’t have to exclude shopping, nice restaurants or just strolling about enjoying the atmosphere and city pulse. For those who prefer sunbathing or a dip in the blue, it only takes 10-15 minutes by bus from the hotel to go to the nearest beach.

Mallorca is also a paradise for hikers and there are many well maintained hiking paths for all abilities. The western part of Mallorca is very hilly and the highest mountains are over 1400 m high. It is a fantastic setting for hiking with a fabulous view of Mallorca and the other islands of the Balearic islands. Our knowledgeable and experienced guide will lead the hikes.

We will start up every day with an outdoor yoga session in the magical Castell de Bellver park, only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This beautiful park also offers a wonderful view over Palma bay.

You will be given the opportunity to discover Palma in a nice, efficient and environmentally friendly manner. We will go sightseeing by bicycle and the tour goes through the central parts of the city, where you’ll get to know both historical events and current information. In Plaza Major, the city’s largest square, we’ll take a break at a restaurant and enjoy tapas and cold drinks.

Meet your leaders

Maria Söderholm

Maria is a travel producer and guide. She lives in California with the world as her working area. She has a passion for nature, health and to inspire people to the outdoors. The destinations of her retreats are therefore carefully selected.

Together with her co-worker, Lotta Dahl, she has designed this yoga and hiking retreat on the beautiful island, Mallorca. The itinerary is based on both yoga and hiking as a combination. In collaboration with the local adventure guide, Jose, they have selected three different hiking trails with varying landscapes and content.

Sara Kristensen – your yoga teacher

Sara has been teaching yoga since 2013. She has trainings from Global Yoga (200hrs) and Yoga Alience Jeanne Heinemann (500hrs). Together with a friend she founded Yogalito yoga studio in a small town called Båstad in Sweden 2014. Her style of yoga is mainly vinyasa, a free playful version which is full of fun and love. The vinyasa its a step by step physical yoga that includes creativity and rhythm. She’s also teaching restorative yoga and yin yoga. Nowadays Sara is teaching yoga at Earthyoga in Palma and at Yogalito when she is in Sweden. She is also hosting various retreats.

Sara believes that yoga is a deeply personal practice. As with any meaningful relationship, it shifts, evolves and deepens with time. Yoga provides an opportunity to reconnect within and and through the poses and breathing develop a stronger body and a calmer mind. Flowing breath to movement, she invites you to listen to your body and to have patience and acceptance for where you find yourself.

Four years ago she moved to Palma de Mallorca with her family. They all love the island life and she is passionate about sharing both the best of the island and her love for yoga.

Jose Roldan – your local hiking guide

I have lived in the mountains since I was a child. My family had a house where I enjoyed all my weekends and that’s what motivated me to hike all around the island and show it to the visitors.
I finished my degree in hotel management in 2007 when I began to work as a dancer and choreographer for a popular european singer for three years. After teaching dance in several academies I started to learn and work as a personal trainer and pilates instructor until 2013, when I started to run my own and current business: HummerBox Palma (a crossfit box).
This is the fifth year that I work as a guide and combining it with teaching and running the box.
I have a special interest to look for prehistoric settlements that still haven’t been found. In my free time I use to go to crazy places in the mountains, running trails or biking or going into caves.
I live with my wife and my little 2-year-old daughter in Andratx, which is a beautiful village 30 km away from Palma where I work.
